I photographed Jo as part of a photographic series titled ‘Norwich Natives’, commissioned by SHHhh for their Norwich City Guide. The Norwich Natives are a hand-picked selection of colourful creators and entrepreneurs – all with different backgrounds, interests and local insights – who have an interesting story to tell.

Jo is a visual artist who lends his sword to a variety of uses – creating work for music festivals, musicians and bands. For this shoot, after Jo and I had scouted his studio and home for a suitable location for a few portraits, sitting on his car with a film camera seemed like the best option – and I love how these shots turned out.
