Barcelona Engagement Photoshoot in Parc de la Ciutadella by Barcelona couples photographer Hannah Hutchins

Couples Photoshoot Barcelona | Raquel & Adam

Parc de la Ciutadella in Barcelona is THE perfect spot for a beautiful autumnal photoshoot. Raquel and Adam wanted to document their anniversary together, in style and treated themselves to a couples photoshoot.

A little about the location: Parc de la Ciutadella is a park on the northeastern edge of Ciutat Vella, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. For decades following its creation in the mid-19th century, this park was the city’s only green space in the centre of Barcelona. The 70-acre grounds include the city zoo, the Palau del Parlament de Catalunya, a small lake, a museum, and a large fountain designed by Josep Fontserè (with possible contributions by the young Antoni Gaudí) – talk about a historical park as a great photoshoot backdrop!

Best locations to take photographs in Barcelona

(by a Barcelona photographer!)

  • Parc de l’Estació del Nord

On a Saturday morning in central Barcelona, I met the Roskow family for their family photoshoot at Parque de la Estación del Norte. But first – we met at their favourite local coffee shop – Three Marks Coffee. Honestly, if all photoshoots could start like this, I would be in heaven! Such a great coffee shop; you should try it out if you’re in the area. After the delicious coffees and babycino’s (absolute essentials for a Saturday morning!), we strolled a few blocks to their local park: Parque de la Estación del Norte. The park is totally unique and mixes gardens, trees and ceramics effortlessly. A must visit if you’re in Barcelona. Find inspiration here!
  • Ciutadella Park

There are so many things to do at this city centre park. It is great for walking around, renting a bike to see nature in amongst the big bustling city that is Barcelona. There are plenty of monuments and secret spots to get a moment’s peace. View pictures from a recent couples photoshoot here.
  • Teatro Griego
